Committees & Councils

St. Charles Lwanga Catholic Parish – Muyeye is supported by a number of committees and councils that help coordinate the spiritual, social, administrative, and developmental life of the parish. These bodies are made up of parish volunteers and leaders who offer their time, skills, and experience in service of the Church.

Through these structures, the parish is able to give proper attention to worship, justice, stewardship, formation, development, and the practical needs of the community. Their service reflects the spirit of co-responsibility in parish life, where clergy and laity work together for the good of all.

How These Committees Serve the Parish

The parish sources show that these committees are not isolated bodies. They work in coordination with the clergy, the Parish Pastoral Council, the Christian communities, parish groups, and the outstations. In this way, different areas of parish life remain connected and mutually supportive.

Some committees may at times collaborate closely or operate through sub-groups depending on local needs and available personnel. This flexibility helps the parish respond practically while remaining focused on its pastoral mission.

Accountability and Collaboration

All committees serve within the wider structure of parish leadership. They report through the Parish Pastoral Council and remain accountable to the Parish Priest. Regular meetings, consultation, and communication help ensure transparency, good stewardship, and unity of purpose.

Parishioners with relevant gifts, experience, and a spirit of service are encouraged to participate in these structures wherever possible. In this way, the whole parish community shares in building up the mission of St. Charles Lwanga Catholic Parish – Muyeye.
