Welcome to St. Charles Lwanga Catholic Parish – Muyeye, a Jesuit-run parish in the Diocese of Malindi. Established in 2018, our parish serves the people of Muyeye and beyond through worship, faith formation, education, social outreach, and the Ignatian spirit of finding God in all things.
Founded as the 21st parish of the Diocese of Malindi, St. Charles Lwanga Parish was created to respond to the pastoral needs of a growing community in Muyeye. Entrusted to the Jesuits, the parish continues a missionary tradition rooted in prayer, service, evangelization, and care for the whole person. Inspired by our patron, St. Charles Lwanga, we strive to be a welcoming Catholic community marked by courage in faith, unity in diversity, and generous service to others.
Our mission is to build a Christian community that promotes dignity and peaceful coexistence among all people. Guided by Catholic teaching and Ignatian spirituality, we seek to deepen faith, strengthen families, form young people, accompany those in need, and help all people encounter Christ in the life of the Church.
As a parish family, we cherish values that continue to shape our life and mission: reverence for life, human dignity, unity in diversity, solidarity and service, and spiritual depth. Through prayer, catechesis, the sacraments, Small Christian Communities, and pastoral outreach, we continue to grow as a community of faith committed to the greater glory of God.
